About England Data

Public data about England, mapped council by council so you can properly compare places.

England Data is an independent project that pulls official open data onto a single map of England — average house prices, street crime, fire & rescue incidents and live air quality, all down to local-authority level. The idea is to make comparing areas quick, instead of trawling through spreadsheets.

Where the data comes from

Every figure is sourced from official, publicly available datasets, and most load live in your browser so they stay current:

• House prices — HM Land Registry UK House Price Index
• Street crime — police.uk open data
• Fire & rescue incidents — Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (FIRE0102)
• Air quality — the Open-Meteo air-quality model
• Council boundaries and lookups — the ONS Open Geography Portal

England Data is not affiliated with the government or any of the organisations above. Figures are provided for general information and should be checked against the original source before you rely on them.
