Privacy policy

Short version: England Data doesn't ask for your details or track you around the web.

This policy explains what happens to data when you use englanddata.com. It was last updated in July 2026.

What we collect

Nothing directly. There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms required to use the maps, and we don't ask for personal information to browse the site.

Storage in your browser

The maps save some information in your browser's local storage — such as prices and readings already fetched, and whether you chose the light or dark theme — so repeat visits load faster. This stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it any time through your browser settings.

Third-party data services

Because the maps load live data directly in your browser, your browser connects to third-party services to fetch it — including the ONS/ArcGIS geography services, police.uk, HM Land Registry, Open-Meteo, postcodes.io and CARTO map tiles. Those services receive your IP address as part of a normal web request and handle it under their own privacy policies.

Hosting and logs

The site is hosted on Netlify, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and performance. See Netlify's privacy policy for details.

Cookies and analytics

England Data does not set advertising cookies. If analytics or advertising are added in future, this page will be updated to describe them and any choices you have.
